New to Psalm1072.com: Newsletters!

Hello, friend!

We’re nearing the 1-year anniversary of Psalm1072.com, and I just want to take a moment to thank you for your continued readership, support, and encouragement.

To steward this ministry better in Year 2, I’ll be emailing newsletters like the sample below a couple of times a month to help you know what’s coming up on Psalm1072.com and what’s going on in my own walk with God.

I’d also love to hear from you and build a community that supports each other in their walk with Jesus. The enemy really works at discouraging me in this ministry, and I’m betting he works hard to discourage to you in your walk and God-given assignments as well.

If you’re on Facebook, consider following me there at Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So or following my page designed for educators, The Fruitful Educator.

Here’s a sneak peek at the topics upcoming newsletters will include:

What’s Coming in Devotions?

  • New series exploring our identity in Christ titled “What’s in a Name?” launching next week!

What’s Currently in FREE Downloads?

  • Walking in Truth devotional series, installment one: God Desires a Close Relationship with Me – available on the Psalm1072.com homepage
  • Teaching Practices that Testify (louder than words!) discipleship resource for educators, installment one: Creating a Peace-filled Place – available at Psalm1072.com/the-fruitful-educator

What’s Going on with “The Fruitful Educator”

  • I’m preparing to provide professional learning related to adolescent and disciplinary literacy for local school districts as teachers head back to school in our state over the next two weeks.
  • I’m developing installment two of Teaching Practices that Testify (louder than words!), subtitled Planning that Gives Students Hope; I hope to have it available for download by the end of September 2023.

What’s Going on in My Life These Days?

  • My husband and I moved our middle child into college this past week, and friends, I thought it would be easier the second time around, but it was just as emotionally difficult as moving our oldest into college was a few years ago. We continue to pray for God’s guidance and protection for both of our sons as they complete higher education and for our daughter as she continues through the middle school years.
  • I’m preparing practice plans and devotions as part of directing our children’s Christmas (yes, Christmas already) program at church. This year our kiddos will be presenting the musical “Operation Christmas Child” by Kathie Hill Music, and we’re excited about the support we believe God will use it to bring to our congregation’s and community’s shoebox collection for the Samaritan’s Purse ministry by the same name.
  • I’m about halfway through the study “Experiencing God” by the Blackaby family (and others), and I just started reading “You’re More than You’ve Been Told” by Hosanna Wong. Both have opened my spiritual eyes so much and drawn me into a closer, more personal relationship with God, and I’m so thankful for the faithfulness of the authors to God’s assignment for their lives.
  • I’m playing “Praise You Anywhere” by Brandon Lake on loop, a lot, as well as “At the Altar” by Anna Golden and pretty much every song on Elevation Worship’s new album “Can You Imagine?”.

Special Interest in Prayer

  • I’d appreciate a special interest in your prayers in the area of:
    • God’s protection and provision for my family as I continue to step further out in faith; it’s been a year since I left a full-time career in educational leadership, and we’d still appreciate prayers that we learn to trust God even better with our finances, and that I improve at discerning what is paid work God sends my way and what is paid work the enemy would use to undermine our trust or distract me from God’s assignment.
    • God’s revelation of His next step for a project to serve Christian educators locally that He has placed on the heart of a Sister and invited me to collaborate on with her.
    • God’s awakening and emboldening of His sons and daughters world-wide and especially in our communities and homes.

If you’re feeling encouraged by the devotions or discipleship resources on Psalm1072.com, please do consider sharing the site or the Facebook pages above with friends and family so they can be encouraged too, and please consider clicking like or adding comments on posts or sending an email to join me in the fight against the enemy’s discouragement; I’ll be sure to respond to help you fight his discouragement as well!

Thank you for your continued support! May God bless you and yours!

Best,

– Andrea
