Let Go & Step Out

“See, I have set the land before you. Enter and take possession of the land the Lord swore to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their future descendants.”

Deuteronomy 1:8

What a life changing message Chrystal Hurst delivered at “Desperate for Jesus” last night!

There’s a lot about the internet that I could do without, but I thank God so much for the ability to be a part of His gatherings and hear His word from across the country. This is my second gathering of God’s daughters in a week, and I’m hungry for what the Lord has in store for tomorrow mornings sessions.

If you thought Deuteronomy 1:8 was just directed at the Israelites of old, think again. Sweet friend, God is saying to you, “See, I have set the land before you. Enter and take possession of the land the Lord swore to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their future descendants.”

Dear heart, there’s a faith journey God is inviting you to take with Him. There’s a bag He’s calling you to unpack so that the journey will be smoother and your burden lighter. Will you take the first step? Will you trust Him with the provision and leave your baggage behind?

I pray you’ll say yes to Him today. There’s a whole generation of God’s people who got right to the edge of the Promised Land but could not enter because they wouldn’t unpack their baggage and trust God, because they wouldn’t take the needed step of faith when God extended the invitation. When God speaks, it’s time to let go of all that was and step in awe toward what is to be.
