Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
Hebrews 10:23 (ESV)
Beloved, I may not know the exact victory you need right now, but I know we’re all in a daily battle, with the enemy, with our flesh, with our pride, with our finances, with our fears…and we’re all in need of reminding of the simple truth that God is always bigger than the troubles we face, always more powerful than the problems we create.
I’m reminded this morning of a song sung by Charity Gayle titled “We Need a Miracle.” The opening goes like this:
“You’re the same God today
And the same God tomorrow
Help me see the victory
You already see
Let my faith be today
What it will be tomorrow
When I’ve seen the victory
You already see”
Father God, grow our trust in You to be greater than our fear of our circumstances. Help us to remember that You are a good, good Father, leading us – even through the detours – on paths of righteousness. Heavenly Father, though we haven’t seen it yet, let us live today in the victory that You already see. Amen.
