Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.
Titus 3:14 (NLT)
Sweet friends, God gives us all sorts of gifts, knowledge, and talents for meeting the urgent needs of others.
Some are able to meet needs for physical rebuilding or physical healing.
Others are able to meet needs for spiritual guidance and encouragement.
Still others are able to meet needs by sharing knowledge and dispelling errors or lies.
These are just some of the ways that God equips us to help others during their time of need.
God doesn’t want us to be unproductive, unfruitful as the KJV puts it, so He gives everyone a way to be of help.
He doesn’t define urgent need as “wait until a disaster” either.
He defines urgent need on a person by person case.
A need may not seem urgent to you, but to the person you’re called to serve it may be incredibly urgent.
No good work is unnecessary. No good work is too trivial.
Beloved, make good use of the gifts, knowledge, and talents God has given you.
Look for opportunities to meet the needs of others.
Endeavor to meet those needs with a glad and worshipful heart.
This is how our Father created us to be: united, helpful, joyous in the work.
