Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.
2 Peter 1:2
What a blessing and a comfort it is to know the grace of God! What peace and assurance there is in knowing that no matter how badly we mess up, how far we are from the mark, God will never leave us nor forsake us.
We may disappoint ourselves or disappoint others and in doing so fall out of man’s good graces for a time, BUT GOD – how precious those words are to me! – God has covered all who believe on His name in eternal grace through the blood of Jesus Christ.
We may suffer earthly consequences for our actions or attitudes when we fall from man’s good graces, BUT God – twice in one post, that’s how amazed I am! – God wipes our slate clean with the blood of Jesus Christ and does not hold who we are against us; He forgives and He forgets. Then, as if those two things were not goodly enough, He nurtures us and encourages us to grow into who He knows we can be. He works all things for good to support our growth even though we don’t fit His idea of who we should be just yet.
Meditating on the truths above, we receive not only peace and confidence, but also a pattern for how we too should extend grace to others.
God has shown us a perfect pattern for helping others become the best version of themselves: forgive, forget, encourage, support.
No guilt laying.
No blame placing.
No cold shoulders.
Just love and support and a clean slate for a new day.
Great is our God who cares so deeply for us! Perfect are His patterns for who we should endeavor to become! Peaceful are His ways! Infinite is His grace!
How I long to be more like Him each day!
How relieved I am that He continues to support us with love and patience even when we miss the mark!
Sweet friend, take some time today to praise God for His endless mercy and overwhelmingly good grace!
